Tonight, the last crop of new drivers touch the 1/4-mile indoor bull ring dirt track. It’s the final night of preliminary action and stars from the NASCAR as well as the INDYCAR world are on tonight’s entry list.

Green flag, Stenhoiuse Jr is clear into turn one on the inside lane. Sam Johnson tucks in behind him on the inside.

Zeb Wise is in the wall behind them, caution. No laps complete.

Green, Stenhouse Jr heads for the bottom as Johnson knocks the cushion. They run near even off turn two!

Lap 3, they remain side by side for the lead. Stenhouse Jr drives it deep to the bottom and slides Johnson to try and take the top away. Johnson crosses right under him, Johnson leads.

Lap 6, Stenhouse Jr misses the bottom. As he bobbles, Justin Grant drives around on his outside to take 2nd away.

Lap 10, Johnson leads Grant by 1 second.

Lap 14, Johnson works heavy lap traffic. They run side by side ahead and Grant closes.

Lap 15, Grant slides Johnson for the lead. He’s clear by inches, Grant leads.

Lap 16, Kasey Kahne is around from 11th and the caution is out.

Green, Grant leads Johnson and Stenhouse Jr into turn one.

Lap 17, Stenhouse Jr slides Johnson for 2nd.

10 to go

10 to go, Grant leads Stenhouse Jr by 1 second.

6 to go, Wayne Johnson spins and the caution is out.

Green, Grant leads Stenhouse Jr into turn one. They both lean on the cushion.

5 to go, Daryn Pittman, Casey Shuman and Brenham Crouch all tangle and the caution is out.

Green, Grant leads on the cushion. Stenhouse Jr is all over him. Stenhouse to the bottom in turn three, he clears him as Grant bobbles on the top!

Tom Harris rolls behind them, caution. Grant will get the lead back.

Green, Grant slides through the middle. Stenhouse Jr knocks the cushion early and has a huge run off the corner. They make light contact.

Stenhouse Jr dives to the bottom, Grant does the same! They rub bars and fight for space.

3 to go, Grant opens the gap.

2 to go, Stenhouse Jr jumps back to the cushion. He’s closing.

1 to go, Stenhouse is closing fast. He jumps the cushion in turn four!
