Main Event
Report

Green flag, Sheppard gets the jump and leads the field into turn one. Chase Junghans and Brandon Overton run side by side for 2nd, Junghans wins that battle via the inside lane.

Lap 5, most of the field runs the inside lane early in this one.

Lap 12, Chase Junghans moves to the cushion. He gets to the right rear of Sheppard and we have a battle for the lead. Junghans completes the pass!

Lap 13, Sheppard fights back on the inside lane. They run side by side for the lead. Lap traffic is ahead and Sheppard gets pinned behind them, Junghans leads.

Lap 19, Sheppard, Pearson Jr and Brandon Overton run three wide for 2nd into turn one. Pearson Jr takes that spot.

Lap 20, Pearson looks inside of Junghans but he’s forced to lift. Overton takes 2nd away.

Lap 22, Overton slides Junghans for the lead in turn one and clears him, Overton leads. Sheppard follows him and takes over 2nd.

Lap 24, Sheppard looks to the inside of Overton into turn one. He clears him, Sheppard back to the lead.

Halfway

Lap 30, Frank Heckenast Jr slows to get to the pit lane under the green flag. Devin Moran is caught off guard and drives right into the back of him. Moran spins and the caution is out.

Green, Sheppard leads Overton into turn one. Ashton Winger takes over 3rd.

Lap 32, Kyle Bronson runs the cushion as almost everyone else is glued to the bottom. Bronson rolls right through the ruts, bicycles and stays in the gas! He’s up to 6th.

Lap 34, Max Blair is in the wall, caution. Tyler Erb has picked up heavy left side damage and he heads for the infield to call it a night.

Green, Sheppard leads Overton. They run nose to tail around the bottom.

Lap 36, Johnny Scott slows, caution.

Green, Sheppard leads as Overton and Winger run side by side for 2nd. Tyler Bruening spins behind them, caution.

Green, Josh Rice slows, caution. Jimmy Owens heads to the infield with heavy damage.

Green, Sheppard leads as Overton and Winger battle for 2nd once more. Winger brushes the wall off turn four and stays in it.

Lap 37, Daulton Wilson spins, caution.

Green, Sheppard leads. Winger runs wide in turn two, Overton retakes 2nd on the inside.

Lap 40, Devin Moran is charging to the front after spinning earlier in the race. He’s up to 10th and knocking the cushion.

9 to go, Sheppard leads Overton by four car lengths. They both run right against the inside tires.

3 to go, Sheppard leads Overton by just a car length. Lap traffic runs side by side ahead.

1 to go, Sheppard forces his way inside of lap traffic. Garrett Smith is stalled in the cushion. The lap car of Spencer Hughes drives right into him, bounces off and spins across the track. Brandon Overton is collected and picks up right side damage but keeps rolling, caution.
