NASCAR qualifying and practice results from Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Today, the NASCAR Cup Series unloads in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 1.5-mile track is set to host a round of practice which will be followed by qualifying.

Earlier in the week, NASCAR elected to extend the practice session. However, the session was still just 35 minutes long.
Kyle Larson topped the practice sheets. Drama came as Kyle Busch spun and backed it into the fence. Joe Gibbs Racing has unloaded an unwrapped backup car. They have a lot of work to do before that car races tomorrow.
The field has been split into two groups for round 1 of qualifying. The top 5 from each group will advance into the final round and make a run for the pole position.
