Several months later… (September 7, 2022)

We’re back on a Wednesday night in September. The field is on the track and ready to conclude the Dirt Late Model Dream feature.

Scott Bloomquist has missed the call. He sits outside of the gate and they won’t let him onto the track.

Green flag, Madden leads the field into turn one. Overton holds 2nd.

85 to go, Chris Ferguson looks inside of Kyle Strickler but they run out of room as Strickler turns into the corner. Ferguson spins and backs it into the wall! Heavy rear end damage and the caution is out.

Green, Madden leads Overton. Hudson O’Neal heads for the top in turn three. He builds speed and works to the right rear of Overton. O’Neal to 2nd.

84 to go, O’Neal continues to roll the top. He works to the right rear of Madden and drives right by to take the lead.

81 to go, Madden dives inside of O’Neal but he can’t retake the lead.

75 to go, Madden slides O’Neal and Madden retakes the lead. Overton retakes 2nd as O’Neal fades.

40 to go

40 to go, Madden leads Overton by 1.2 seconds.

39 to go, Brandon Sheppard has climbed from 14th to 4th as he slides Rice for a spot.

10 to go, Madden is driving away. He leads Overton by 2.5 seconds.

8 to go, Devin Moran, Hudson O’Neal and Bobby Pierce tangle and the caution is out! Moran attempted a slider but he either broke or blew a tire as Moran went straight into O’Neal. Pierce was collected with nowhere to go.

Green, Madden heads for the bottom as Overton rolls the top. Overton pulls even with Madden! He clears him off turn two, Overton to the lead.

3 to go, Overton leads Madden by three car lengths.

Brandon Overton wins at Eldora Speedway!
