32-year-old dirt racer Sam Hafertepe Jr feels he’s too old for NASCAR; Tony Stewart feels something is broken
At 32-years-old, Sam Hafertepe Jr is the defending Lucas Oil ASCS National Champion. He pilots fire-breathing dirt sprint cars, chasing dirt track all across the country.
He has 692 races under his belt.

This weekend, Sam Hafertepe Jr is racing at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track. As NASCAR runs the 1-5-mile Tony Stewart is presenting the TexasSprint Car Nationals.
Sam is the defending race winner of the event.

In December, a U.S. District Court judge ruled that waivers signed at the Canandaigua Motorsports Park dirt were unenforceable. In return, Tony Stewart filed an appeal.
On Monday, Judge David Hurd denied Stewart’s request to appeal the ruling on liability waivers.
