A spokesperson has confirmed the breakup between Danica Patrick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr
In 2012, Danica Patrick divorced her then husband, just months ahead of her NASCAR Cup Series career beginning. The marriage with Paul Hospenthal officially ended in divorce in November 2012.
Danica Patrick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr both joined the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series full-time in 2013. Soon after, the two NASCAR drivers began dating.
The two NASCAR drivers entered into a 5 year relationship.
A few weeks ago, Danica Patrick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr did not attend the NASCAR Awards Show together. Many began to speculate a breakup.
This weekend, Ricky Stenhouse Jr attended the Gateway Dirt Nationals in St. Louis, Missouri. He came to watch the dirt late model and dirt modified program. However, Danica Patrick was again, not as his side.
Patrick, age 35 and Stenhouse, age 30 have indeed separated. The spokesperson confirmed the split today.
In 2018, Ricky Stenhouse Jr will continue his contract with Roush Fenway Racing. In 2017, he made the NASCAR playoffs for the first time in his career.
Also in 2018, Danica Patrick will enter a planned retirement. As of now, her plans are to run the Daytona 500 and the Indy 500. No contracts have been announced.
