Tonight, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series has unloaded in Tazewell, Tennessee. The 1/3-mile dirt track of Tazewell Speedway is set for a night of bullring dirt late model racing.

Heat 1 – Report
Josh Richards and Shanon Buckingham set the front row in the first heat race of the night. Green, they rub doors at the launch.
Richards moves to the lead on the bottom into turn one.
Buckingham is hanging with him but Richards is inching away.
Josh Richards drives to the win in heat one!
Heat 2 – Report
Jason Trammell and Jimmy Owens trail the pace truck in heat two. Green, Trammell leads into turn one and out of turn two.
Owens has a run into turn three. He drives it hard to the bottom. Owens clips him in the left front with his right rear in turn four. Owens leads back into turn one.
Lap 5, slow car and the caution is out.
Green, Tyler Erb moves to 2nd. He runs the middle into turn three. Dakotah Knuckles puts the nose to the inside off turn four. Erb diamonds the exit and they make contact. Erb nearly goes around but they all continue.
Jimmy Owens drives off to the win in heat two!
Heat 3 – Report
Michael Norris and Ryan King lead them to the starting line in the final heat of the night. Green, false start.
Green, Norris drives it deep in the bottom into turn one. King cuts from the top to the bottom and looks under him off turn two.
Norris to the top in turn three. King to the bottom. They run even in turn four. Norris cuts off the top and they make heavy contact off turn four. Davenport sneaks to the lead!
Lap 8, Davenport is slow! The caution is out.
Jeff Wolfenbarger leads them to the restart. Green, Wolfenbarger is clear. The field runs single file.

Main Event – Report
Kyle Bronson moved to a backup car after the heat race. He was able to transfer through without a provisional.
The field is heading onto the 1/3 mile dirt track. Rain drops have begun to fall. No four wide salute as they rush to start the race.
Josh Richards and Jimmy Owens line up behind the pace truck. The 50 lap main event is up next!
Green flag, Richards leads into turn one. Billy Moyer Jr is around behind them, caution.
Lsp 6, the leaders have caught lap traffic. Richards looks low on Bronson off turn two, he lifts. Owens is on the gas around the top! The run side by side for the lead.
Slow car ahead if the leaders. The caution is out. Richards is around in turn one! He either spun to slow himself down or got turned as they juggled the slow car. Richards collects minor damage but will get the lead back..
Davenport pulls to the pits, he’s out.
Green, Richards leads. Owens is in trouble and the caution is back out. Owens to the pit area.
Green, Richards leads. Buckingham drives it deep to the bottom in turn one. Erb cuts off the top and crosses under him off turn two.
Back in turn one, Buckingham slides him again. Erb crosses under again and holds the 2nd position.
Lap 17, Erb is running down Richards. He pulled to the bumper, evaporating 5 car lengths. Lap 18, slow car and the caution is out.
Green, Richards leads. Several cars tangle in turn one but they all continue. Debris, caution.
Green, Richards leads. Bronson, McCreadie and Norris are in a heck of a battle for 10th. Bronson tags the rear bumper of McCreadie. They run three wide, Bronson takes the spot.
Lap 28, Richards tangles with a lap car. Tyler Erb to the lead!
Lap 35, Dale McDowell is on the bumper of Richards for 2nd. The leaders work the high side in heavy lap traffic. The caution is out.
Green, Richards gets a bad launch and McDowell take 2nd as they rub fenders into turn one.
Lap 40, McDowell is closing in on the leader of Erb. Open track ahead for both.
Lap 42, Richards is slow and the caution is out.
Green, McDowell gets into the left rear of the leader at the starting line. Erb kicks sideways but holds the lead into turn one.
McDowell has a run off the corner. He looks inside of Erb but can’t win the race into turn three.
Lap 44, Tyler Erb has a flat! The caution is out. McDowell inherits the lead. McDowell is in the pits! Buckingham will restart at the front. Hawkins restarts 2nd and Pearson 3rd.
Green, Buckingham leads. He’s driving away. Josh Richards pinches Tyler Erb into the wall off turn two. Tyler Erb returns the favor off turn four.
Shanon Buckingham takes his first career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series win!
After the race: Josh Richards has caught up with Tyler Erb in turn two after the race. Tyler Erb weaves through traffic to catch Richards again.
Erb doors Richards lightly on the front stretch. Both cars pull away and head to the pit area.
