Stage 1 – Report
Laps: 20 ( 1-20 )
Green flag, Chase Elliott gets the jump as Byron holds 2nd off turn one. Everyone makes it through clean on turn one.
Lap 2, Kyle Busch is around in turn one! He looked to the inside of Byron for 2nd, jumped the curb, got into Byron and the back end came around. He spins and holds 10th.
Lap 10, Hamlin drives deep into the bus stop. He pulls even with Byron. Byron launches over the curb and runs Hamlin wide as they nearly take each other out. Hamlin to 2nd.
3 to go, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick, Alex Bowman, Clint Bowyer, Ryan Blaney and Ty Dillon head for the pit lane.
2 to go, Kyle Busch is on the bumper of William Byron. Busch pushes him through the grass and fills his grill with debris.

Stage 2 – Report
Laps: 20 ( 21-40 )
William Byron has run down Kyle Busch under caution. He smacks him square in the rear bumper. Unfortunately, Byron only damaged himself. Heavy damage on the nose of Byron, minor damage to Busch.
Penalty: Too fast exiting the pit lane for Kyle Busch.
Chase Elliott leads the field to the pit lane. He’s first in and first off with four tires.
Green flag on stage two, Kyle Larson noses ahead into turn one. Kevin Harvick holds 2nd. Brad Keselowski blocks into the bus stop, he runs Truex all the way to the grass, Truex still completes the pass.
Lap 26, Parker Kligerman is around in the bus stop. No caution for the single car spin.
Lap 30, Kyle Larson pits from the lead. Chase Elliott is the new race leader, with 5 laps fresher tires than Harvick.
Lap 33, Reed Sorenson is up in smoke and the caution is out.
Kyle Busch and Kurt Busch head to the pit lane under yellow.
Green, Chase Elliott gets the jump. Truex and Harvick runs side by side for 2nd. Truex completes the pass into turn two.
2 to go, Truex is on the bumper of Chase Elliott for the lead. Bubba Wallace is stuck in the tire wall back in turn five! Heavy damage for Wallace and the caution is out.

Stage 3 – Report
Laps: 50 ( 41-90 )
Most of the leaders stay out. Jimmie Johnson is the first car to pit from the 10th position.
Green flag on stage three, Chase Elliott gets the jump and leads on the inside into turn one. Truex holds 2nd.
Lap 54, Daniel Hemric is around in the boss stop. No caution as the track remains green.
Lap 56, Martin Truex Jr is on the bumper of Chase Elliott. Lap traffic sits ahead. The split the lap car into turn six and Truex nearly works to his inside, Elliott holds the lead.
Lap 58, Harvick heads to the pit lane under green. Lap 59, Almirola and Logano head to the pits. These cars would benefit from a caution.
Lap 60, Chase Elliott pits from the race lead. The next lap, Martin Truex Jr heads to the pit lane.
Lap 62, Jimmie Johnson is up in smoke! Kyle Busch and Bubba Wallace trade doors slams down the front stretch. Wallace turns him into turn one! The caution is out.
Green, Truex pinches Elliott to a narrow entry into turn one. Truex is hanging with him on the outside into turn two. They runs side by side up the hill and bang doors at the summit. Chase Elliott holds the lead.
23 to go, Austin Dillon is around in turn one after fighting with space with Ryan Newman. The race remains green.
10 to go, Elliott maintains the gap to Truex behind him. Truex is quicker in the slower parts of the course. His advance is in turn five and into turn six.
6 to go, Truex is within a car length at the flag stand. The tires are wearing on both cars but Elliott is looser off the corners.
1 to go, the gap remains one car length at the flag stand. Elliott opens it up to five car lengths into the bus stop.
Chase Elliott holds him off and takes the win at Watkins Glen International!
