They went rain racing at night in the Round of 12 finale on the Charlotte ROVAL!
Today, the NASCAR Xfinity Series takes the green flag in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Charlotte Roval is set to conclude the Round of 12 in the NXS Playoffs.

Stage 1 – Report
Laps: 20 (1-20 / 67)
Green flag, Gragson leads into turn one. Cindric makes it three wide into turn one behind him.
Lap 3, Brett Moffitt is around in turn 16 following a suspension failure. NASCAR has called this a weather caution. Teams are now able to put wet tires on, if they choose.
The entire field hits the pit lane. Rain tires are going on.
Green, Ross Chastain makes it three wide for the lead into turn one. Chastain hangs onto his outside in turn three. Gragson shoves him wide off turn four and Gragson holds the lead.
Lap 11, the rain is falling a lot harder. Gragson still leads. Chastain is suffering from a broken windshield wiper. Briscoe clips the curb in turn 18 and spins from 5th.
Lap 14
Lap 14, Gragson has spun! Chastain also spins! Haley takes over the lead. Austin Hill, Tommy Joe Martins, Matt Mills, Kyle Weatherman and CJ McLaughlin have all crashed and the caution is out.
Green, Haley leads into turn one as Gragson makes it three wide for 2nd.
They run three wide for the lead out of turn 11 and onto the backstretch! Gragson returns to the lead into the chicane. Burton misses the final chicane and he’s forced to come to a complete stop.
Final lap in stage one, Gragson gets sideways out of turn three. Grala looks to his inside and takes over the lead!

Stage 2 – Report
Laps: 20 (21-40 / 67)
Green flag on stage two, Gragson and Grala run side by side into turn one and Gragson wins the battle. Grala steps out the backend and Brandon Brown takes over 2nd.
Brown looks to the inside of Gragson in the turn 17 chicane and he blows the corner! Brown blows right through the corner. Gragson is hard on the brakes in anticipation of that, Brown drives right across his nose as he straight lines the corner. Gragson holds the lead.
Lap 27, Herbst is on the bumper of Gragson in turn three. He turns him! The red flag is out for rain.

About an hour later…
Green, Herbst leads the field to turn one. Allgaier aggresively works to his outside in turn two. Allgaier and Herbst both spin in turn three! Haley, Pardus, Annett and others get collected. The caution is back out.
The track is still soaked as drivers throw water into the air behind them.
Green, Briscoe leads into turn one! Josh Williams spins and slams the wall behind them, no caution.
Lap 37, Burton has come to a stop on the track with a mechanical issue. The caution is out as Burton gets a push to the garage.
It’s a one lap shootout to the end of stage two…
Green, Briscoe leads Chastain out of turn one and he opens the gap.
Chase Briscoe wins stage two on the Charlotte Roval.

Stage 3 – Report
Laps: 27 (41-67 / 67)
Green flag on stage three, Briscoe leads into turn one as Gragson runs side by side with Chastain for 2nd. Gragson spins off turn one and makes contact with the wall, no caution.
25 to go, drivers are racing through the puddles. It’s a new and smooth racing surface. Old but course surfaces will soak up some of the water. Here, it floats across the top and forms puddles.
21 to go, Ryan Sieg has spun out of turn one, no caution.
20 to go, Alex Labbe outbrakes Chastain into turn one. Labbe spins in turn three and slams the wall, no caution!
19 to go, Jesse Little has stalled and the caution is out.
Green, Briscoe leads on the inside into turn one. AJ Allmendinger looks to his outside as they run side by side into turn three. Briscoe gets loose on the paint and Allmendinger takes the lead. Myatt Snider takes 2nd.
15 to go, Snider is around out of turn one, no caution!
13 to go, Gragson shoves the rear bumper of Herbst after the two made contact earlier in the race. Currently, they race for 6th.
12 to go
12 to go, Briscoe has run down Allmendinger for the lead. He looks inside into the turn twelve chicane, clear. Briscoe leads.
8 to go, the caution is out for CJ McLaughlin.
Green, Briscoe spins the tires on the launch and Allmedinger works to his outside. They rub doors and fight for space, Allmendinger to the lead!
5 to go, Allmedinger defends the inside into the back stretch chicane. Briscoe looks to his outside but can’t complete the pass.
4 to go, Briscoe puts the bumper to Allmendinger in turn four. He works inside and clear, Briscoe leads.
Brandon Brown is stuck off the track and the caution is out. Riley Herbst spins from 5th at the same time.
Overtime (G-W-C)…
We’re going into overtime and it’s getting dark. There’s no lights on the road course portion of the track.
Green, Briscoe gets the jump but Allmendinger pulls even with him on the outside of turn one. Briscoe spins in the puddles on the inside! Allmendinger leads Gragson.
White flag, Allmendinger leads Gragson by 1.8 seconds.
