Mike Marlar returns to NASCAR for Bristol Dirt

The Dirt late model star will run both NASCAR dirt races at Bristol Motor Speedway

Hill Motorsports is absent from the entry list this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The west coast swing took a toll on the small operation.

Instead, they will use the weekend off to prepare the truck for the Dirt race at Bristol Motor Speedway. NASCAR’s newest dirt track will see it’s debut next weekend.

Mike Marlar is the 2018 World of Outlaws Late Model Dirt Series champion. He’s no stranger to dirt track racing.

The Hill Motorsports machine will be piloted by dirt late model star Mike Marlar. The No. 56 truck has primary sponsorship from Lift Kits 4 Less.

Additionally, Marlar will also run the NASCAR Cup Series race! He’ll make his debut in the series via the No. 66 out of the Motorsports Business Management LLC stable.

For the Cup race, Clinton Cram will serve as the crew chief. Lift Kits 4 Less will serve as the primary sponsorship for this race as well.

Mike Marlar commented, “This is going to be interesting and I’m really looking forward to the challenge. This is something that would not have been possible without the help of Carl Long and Rocky and Tom Smith from Smithbuilt homes. This is such a cool opportunity for me being a dirt racer from Eastern Tennessee being able to compete in the top series of NASCAR at Bristol.”

MBM Motorsports field two entries in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Team owner Carl Long stated, “I am excited to have Mike in our car again, he is a champion dirt driver being paired with Clinton Cram, I will be one of many people excited to watch this duo go to work.”

Long added, “We like being underrated and hope to surprise a lot of people. Added to the cup race normal driver Timmy Hill, aka truck team owner, with Mike Marlar and our guys helping Timmy out as usual in the pits, we will be sending our crew chief Patrick Magee to help out while Greg Ely is getting back healthy. This is going to be a fun weekend and debut our new sponsor.”
