Niece Motorsports driver regulated to a 36th place finish after the NASCAR Truck Series race
On Saturday, the NASCAR Truck Series took the green flag at Texas Motor Speedway. NASCAR Cup Series driver Ross Chastain was in the field to get some track time ahead of Sunday’s NASCAR All-Star Race.
John Hunter Nemechek drove to victory lane. Ross Chastain brought his No. 45 machine to 3rd.
After the race, Chastain was disqualified for a throttle-body violation. The violation was discovered in post-race inspection.
The Niece Motorsports team was found in violation of Section 20.6.2.13.a.
NASCAR Rule Book – Section 20.6.2.13.a: ““The throttle body must be used as supplied by the NT1 engine supplier without modification.”
Chastain has been regulated to last place, 36th.
