Tonight, national dirt late model drivers invade Fairbury, Illinois. The 1/4-mile bullring oval of Fairbury Speedway is set to host the mid-week late model mini-series after a week of action in Eldora.

Scott Bloomquist Racing was scheduled to attend this event. However, the team lost two engines at Eldora Speedway and are unable to attend tonight’s show.

Main Event
Report
Green flag, Larson and Clanton run even into turn one. Clanton noses ahead on the high side off turn two.
Lap 2, Boom Briggs gets sideways on his own. Jeffrey Ledford and Bob Gardner tangle and the caution is out.
Green, Clanton leads. Shannon Babb spins into turn three and he collects Frank Heckenast Jr. The caution is out.
Green, Clanton leads as Larson slides Sheppard into turn one behind him. Sheppard loses the nose and falls to 4th.
Lap 5, Clanton leads Larson by five car length, they both bounce off the cushion.
Lap 8, Larson closes to the bumper of Clanton. He dives to the inside, slide him in turn three and Clanton tags him in the fuel cell off turn four. Larson leads as Garrett Alberson takes over 2nd.
Lap 10, Alberson is on the bumper of Larson. Alberson to the bottom, side by side for the lead.
Lap 13, Larson jumps the cushion in turn one. Alberson clears him on the inside lane.
Lap 15, Mckay Wenger, Brandon Sheppard and Gordy Gundaker run three wide for 3rd. They’re using every inch of the track.

Lap 20, Wenger is up in smoke and the caution is out.
Larson heads to the pit area with a flat right rear!
Green, Alberson noses ahead into turn one. Sheppard knocks the cushion and pulls even, Sheppard to the lead on the outside lane!
Lap 24, Gordy Gundaker rolls the inside lane and clears Alberson to take 2nd away. He’s closing on Sheppard.
Lap 27, caution for debris.
Alberson and Marlar head to the pit area with a flat.
Green, Sheppard leads as Tanner English follows him through on the outside to take 2nd.
Lap 35, Sheppard leads English by five car lengths.
10 to go, Sheppard opens the gap. English, Mike Spatola and Gordy Gundaker run in a gaggle for 2nd.
8 to go, English heads for the bottom as Spatola knocks the cushion. He pulls even off turn two, Spalota to 2nd.
5 to go, Sheppard works heavy lap traffic. Spatola trails by 10 car lengths.
