NASCAR race results from the Playoff elimination race at Bristol Motor Speedway

Tonight, the NASCAR Cup Series takes the green flag in Bristol, Tennessee. The half-mile of Bristol Motor Speedway is set to host a Playoff elimination race.

16 drivers are in the playoffs ahead of the start. Only 12 drivers will remain in the playoffs at the checkered as four will be eliminated.

Stage 1 – Report

Bristol Motor Speedway - NASCAR Cup Series

Laps: 125 (1-125 / 500)

Green flag, Almirola clears Briscoe via the outside lane as Denny Hamlin takes over 2nd.

Lap 29, Ryan Blaney dives inside of Hamlin for 2nd. They fight for space off the corner and Hamlin lifts, Blaney takes the spot.

Blaney quickly closes to the bumper of Almirola. He drives right by, Blaney to the lead.

Lap 42, Harrison Burton and JJ Yeley both have a flat tire. The caution is out.

Blaney leads the field to the pit lane but Hamlin wins the race to the pit exit. 6 cars stay out as Keselowski and Wallace lead them to the restart.

Green, Wallace spins the tires as Keselowski is clear into turn one.

Lap 84

Lap 84, Austin Cindric tags the wall with a flat right front. No caution as he pits under green.

Lap 91, Ryan Blaney picks up a flat right front and he slams the wall! Almirola spins behind him and the caution is out. All four cars with flat tires are Ford machines.

More issues for Blaney has the left rear wheel falls off following the stop. That will bring a big fine later in the week.

Green, Keselowski leads Christopher Bell off turn two.

8 to go in stage one, Blaney has major issues in the rear suspension. He bottoming out and now he also has a flat right rear. Blaney pits for repairs.

Brad Keselowski wins stage one at Bristol Motor Speedway!

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 125 (126-250 / 500)

Keselowski leads the field to the pit lane but Briscoe wins the race to the pit exit. Briscoe restarst 11th as 10 cars stayed out.

Green flag on stage two, Chrstopher Buecher clears Kevin Harvick into turn one.

Lap 139, Almriola shoves Cindric and Harrison Burton is collected. Burton spins off turn four, caution.

Green, Buescher leads Harvick and Hamlin.

Lap 177, Wallace has lost power steering while running 4th. He pits under green and the crew is making repairs.

Lap 185, Ty Gibbs hits the pit lane and the crew lifts the hood. Both 23XI Racing machines suffer mechanical issues, back to back.

Lap 195

Lap 195, Harrison Burton has another flat right front. Erik Jones spins at the same time, caution.

Martin Truex Jr heads behind the wall. Another Toyota with power steering issues.

Green, Buescher clears Harvick into turn one.

Lap 235, Denny Hamlin brushes the wall with a flat right front from 3rd. The caution is out.

Buescher leads most of the leaders to the pit lane. Christopher Bell takes over at the front as many stay out. Buescher restarts 14th.

Green, Bell is clear into turn one.

Christopher Bell wins stage two at Bristol Motor Speedway!

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 250 (251-500 / 500)

Green flag on stage three, Bell leads Byron off turn two.

Lap 264, Kyle Larson works to the outside of Byron. He drives right by to take 2nd away.

Lap 270, Kyle Busch is up in smoke. He heads behind the wall with an engine issue and the caution is out!

Green, Suarez spins and collects Ricky Stenhouse Jr. As they spins across the track, Alex Bowman, Austin Dillon, Tyler Reddick and others pick up damage. The caution is back out.

Green, Bell leads Larson off turn two.

Lap 352

Lap 352, Erik Jones slows with a flat right rear, caution.

Bell leads the leaders to the pit lane for likely the final time. Larson wins the race to the pit exit!

Green, Larson clears Bell into turn one via the outside lane. Keselowski works to the outside of Bell and takes 2nd away.

114 to go, Brad Keselowski slides Kyle Larson for the lead! He runs it to the wall off the corner and shuts the door. Larson drives into his rear bumper off the corner, Keselowski holds the lead.

103 to go, Joey Logano has a flat right front and he pits hits the pit lane under green.

87 to go, race leader Brad Keselowski has a flat right front! He pits under green and hands the lead to Christopher Bell.

64 to go, race leader Christopher Bell has a flat tire! The caution is out. Kyle Larson is handed the lead.

Larson and the rest of the leaders hit the pit lane. Slow stop for Hamlin and Harvick! Buescher wins the race to the pit exit with just two tires. Elliott is off 2nd, the first with four tires.

Green, Buescher is clear into turn one. Elliott runs 2nd.

38 to go, Larson brushes the wall and Bell drives under him to takes 4th away.

10 to go, Buescher leads Elliott by 0.8 seconds.
