Multiple NASCAR teams looking for crew members just before Vegas race

A plane issue has several NASCAR teams short over-the-wall crew members at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Tonight, the NASCAR Truck Series takes the green flag in Las Vegas, Nevada. And many teams are currently scrambling for crew members.

A plane carrying pit crew members from North Carolina to Las Vegas suffered a delay on Friday.

It was discovered that the plane was broken. They were forced to locate a backup plane.

The backup plane first flew to Tulsa. Following refueling, the crew members then took off for it’s final destination, Las Vegas.

Now, that plane will land just minutes before the green flag in tonight’s NASCAR Truck Series race. The crew members are expected to get a police escort to the track.

Rev Racing, Young’s Motorsports, AM Racing, Front Row Motorsports, Hill Motorsports, Kyle Busch Motorsports, ThorSport Racing, Halmar-Friesen Racing and Bill McAnally Racing are teams that have crew members on the incoming plane.

The Truck teams that are impacted by the plane issues are currently walking the garage area asking Xfinity and Cup crews for help.

NASCAR has delayed the start of the race by 5 minutes to help the crew members get to the track on time.
