Dirt racing legend heading to NASCAR

Now, the legendary dirt racer is heading into NASCAR territory. He’s set to drive the No. 13 at Kaulig Racing.
The 39-year-old will race at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 9th.
Kaulig Racing announced, “Things are about to get DIRTy. We’re thrilled to have Jonathan Davenport behind the wheel of the No. 13 NutrienAg Chevy for the Bristol Dirt race!”
Jonathan Davenport stated, “I’m beyond excited and grateful for the opportunity from NutrienAg and Kaulig Racing to be able to fulfill a dream of racing in the NASCAR Cup series. Hope to make my family and fans proud of what we can accomplish on April 9th.”
Davenport is the 2015, 2016 and 2019 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion.
Justin Haley, teammate to Jonathan Davenport in the Cup Series stated, “I couldn’t be more excited to have Jonathan as a teammate. I admire his craft and skills, very deserving. He will impress.”
Davenport has experience on the Bristol Dirt surface via his dirt late model machine.
