The NASCAR star won at Huset’s Speedway; Claimed a check for $20,000 with the World of Outlaws
Kyle Larson is the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion. He’s in his 11th season, where he’s picked up 21 wins in his day job.
However, Sunday is far from the only day that Larson elects for a visit to victory lane. He’s an avid dirt racer, who will race just about anything and park it in the end.
On Wednesday night, Kyle Larson strapped into his No. 57 dirt sprint car at Huset’s Speedway. He drove to the front and grabbed a preliminary feature win. But, preliminary doesn’t quite fit this one as it paid $20,000 to win.
Thursday’s show was the first of a four-day show for the World of Outlaws at the Brandon, South Dakota dirt track. The event on the 3/8-mile track will conclude on Saturday with a $250,000 payout to the feature winner.

Yet, not everyone is happy about the win…
@theonlydako mentioned Kyle Larson in a tweet saying, “Hopefully you will share some of the money you win with the guys who are doing this for a living. Money you don’t necessarily need.”
It’s a wild comment.
Not that I agree with it, but I understand what he’s saying. Yet, he’s also looking at it from the wrong angle. Larson brings a crowd to any racetrack he visits, that directly puts money in the pockets of dirt racers as well as the entire industry.
Anyway, Larson replied to the outrageous tweet…
Kyle Larson responded, “Last time I checked I fall into the category of ‘professional race car driver’. I race for a living just like the rest of them.”
