IROC set to return in 2024

Classic stock car series making a return with new ownership

Ray Evernham and Rob Kauffman have purchased the IROC brand through the a newly formed IROC Holdings LLC. The series is set to make a return with a race scheduled in 2024.

IROC was a series that ran from 1973 to 2006. The events ran as a support class in many NASCAR events.

Evernham has been collecting a fleet of prior IROC machines. Now, he’s going to bring them back to life.

The return will see classic IROC machines used in the events. However, they are also “exploring future opportunities.”

“IROC brought together the greatest drivers from all forms of motorsport to compete against each other in iconic cars on historic tracks. Although the annual events ended in 2006, the legacy and recognition of the IROC brand has continued throughout the years. IROC Holdings plans to bring the historic brand back to life,” they stated via a series release.

The new company will be based out of Mooresville, NC.

Evernham is a co-owner of the SRX Series. Rob Kauffman is a chairman of the Race Team Alliance.
