Kyle Larson was scheduled to race this race then fly to North Carolina for NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600. Due to the delay he’ll miss the start of the NASCAR event.

Callum Ilott pulls to the pit lane ahead of the start. The crew is chasing an electrical issue.

Race Report
Green flag, McLaughin in clear into turn one. Tom Blomqvist wiggles in turn two. He collects Marcus Ericsson and Marco Andretti off turn two. The caution is out on lap 1.
Marcus Armstrong pulls to the pit lane with no power. He claims from the car and he’s done for the day.
Green, McLaughlin leads Power. Larson loses several spots at the launch as he spins the tires and Ryan Hunter-Reay bangs with him on the way by.
Lap 22, Katherine Legge is up in smoke, caution.
McLaughlin and most of the leaders hit the pit lane. Sting Ray Robb stays out and takes over the lead.
Green, Robb leads but Daly swings to the outside into turn one. Daly leads into turn two.
Lap 28, Linus Lundqvist attempted to make it four wide at the entry of the corner and he runs out of room. He wiggles and slams the outside wall.
Green, McLaughlin and Ferrucci take Daly three wide into turn one. McLaughlin returns to the race lead.
Lap 36, Daly has a run on McLaughlin into turn one. Daly takes the lead away.
Daly pits and McLaughlin returns to the lead.
Lap 56
Lap 56 Felix Rosenqvist is up in smoke and a third Honda engine has expired.
McLaughlin leads most of the field to the pit lane. Rossi wins the race to the pit exit. Daly and others stay out.
Green, Robb and McLaughlin split Daly into turn one! McLaughlin takes the lead away.
Penalty: VeeKay will drop to the rear due to an unsafe pt release.
Lap 66, Robb has a a run on McLaughlin into turn one. Robb returns to the lead.
Lap 76, Robb dives to the pit lane under green. McLaughlin takes over the lead.
Lap 86, Colton Herta gets loose as he clips the apron. He spins and tags the outside wall. The caution is out.
McLaughlin leads most of the leaders to the pit lane. Rinus Veekay stays out and takes over the lead.
Green, Lungaard drives around Veekay into turn one to take the lead.
Lap 94, Veekay has a run on Lundgaard. Veekay returns to the lead.
After exiting the infield care center, Colton Herta’s car has been repaired. He’ll jump back in the car and rejoin the race but he’s multiple laps down. Herta thought the car had more damage.
Lap 98
Lap 98, Veekay heads to the pit lane. Lundgaard returns to the lead.
Lap 101, Lundgaard to the pit lane. Newgarden now leads Ferrucci.
Lap 107, Ryan Hunter-Reay dives inside of Scott Dixon on the backstretch. The holes closes and Hunter-Reay spins through the grass. The caution is out.
Green, McLaughlin works inside of Newgarden into turn one. Marco Andretti spins behind them and backs it into the wall, caution.
Green, McLaughlin gets the jump and he holds Newgarden into turn one.
Lap 127, Newgarden sweeps around McLaughlin into turn one. Newgarden is back in the lead.
Lap 131, Newgarden pits from the lead.
Penalty: Kyle Larson will serve a pass-through penalty for speeding on the pit lane. He locked up the wheels at the pit entry.
Lap 147
Lap 147, Will Power spins and backs it hard into the wall. The caution is out.
Sting Ray Robb and Christian Lundgaard are the only cars yet to pit. They dive for the pit lane. Scott Dixon cycles to the race lead. Kyle Larson gets the wave around and he’s back on the lead lap.
Green, Pato O’Ward and Alexander Rossi split Dixon into turn one. Rossi takes the lead away.
Lap 164, O’Ward has a run on Rossi into turn one. O’Ward to the lead.
Lap 170, Dixon has a run on O’Ward into turn one. Dixon to the lead as green flag stops are underway.
Lap 174, Newgarden has a run on Dixon as Dixon exits the pit lane. Newgarden gets by, this is the battle for the lead when the pit cycle is complete.
Lap 175, Dixon works around Newgarden. It’s short lived as Newgarden takes the spot right back on the same lap.
24 to go
24 to go, Dixon works by him once more. Newgarden takes it right back!
20 to go, Kyle Larson leads Kyffin Simpson as both cars have yet to pit. 27 seconds behind them, Dixon and Newgarden continue to swap the 3rd position.
15 to go, Simpson is the last car to head for the pits. Rossi has a run on Newgarden. Rossi takes the position and he cycles to the race lead!
12 to go, Newgarden sweeps around Rossi, Newgarden to the lead.
9 to go, Rossi to the lead.
8 to go, Newgarden works inside of Rossi. Pato O’Ward follows him through and Rossi falls to 3rd!
5 to go, O’Ward dives inside and takes the lead from Newgarden into turn one.
4 to go, Newgarden to the lead.
3 to go, O’Ward had a run on Newgarden but he lifts. O’Ward might be saving his move for the final lap.
2 to go, O’Ward had another run. He lifts again!

1 to go, O’Ward looks outside of Newgarden into turn one. O’Ward to the lead!
Newgarden has a run into turn three. He looks to the outside and takes the lead on the outside!
