NASCAR official force removes man from pit at Martinsville (Video)

Watch the drama between Tristan McKee and Sam Yarborough at Martinsville Speedway

On Saturday night, late model drivers rolled into Martinsville Speedway. The half-mile track hosted the famed ValleyStar Credit Union 300 for the NASCAR Regional event.

With 100 laps to go, Sam Yarborough worked inside of Tristan McKee exiting turn four. As they crossed under the flagstand, McKee hooked Yarborough in the right rear.

Yarborough was sent hard into the outside wall and it ended his day. He climbed from his car and pointed right at McKee during the caution laps.

Confrontation on the pit lane

After the incident, Sam Yarborough and his team walked down to the pit stall of McKee. One man jumped over the pit wall and raised his hands.

A NASCAR official stepped in from behind, grabbing the man. “Get across the wall,” the official yelled.

The man was placed back over the wall. The official yelled, “Go to your pits!”

Yarborough stated, “He needs his teeth knocked in.” As he walked away, he added, How old is he?”

Yarborough was told McKee was just 14 years old.

“I got four years,” Yarborough responded.

NASCAR issued a multiple lap penalty to McKee directly after the incident. After the race, McKee took blame for the incident and noted that he was attempting to tuck in behind Yarborough.
