How much does a NASCAR team owner earn for winning the championship?
For years, NASCAR earnings have been kept behind closed doors. Following the 2015 season, NASCAR stopped releasing race earnings as well as points fund details.
On Wednesday, court documents surfacing detailing NASCAR payouts. These documents surfaced amid the antitrust lawsuit between 23XI Racing / Front Row Motorsports and NASCAR.

The 1st place charter owner will collect a check for $2,840,000 following the 2025 NASCAR season. That number is expected to increase gradually through the 2031 season with the payout rising between $3,219,000-$3,391,000 for the same result.
Additionally, race purse info has also been released. The race winner takes home 5.160% of the total purse.
This weekend, NASCAR is rolling into Phoenix Raceway for the championship race. The race winner will earn $639,537 of the total $12,394,135 purse before the championship funds are added.
