Listen to the hilarious radio between driver Clint Bowyer and his spotter Kevin Harvick
Clint Bowyer spent 16 years in the NASCAR Cup Series. He retired following the 2020 season with 10 career wins.
Since then, Bowyer has only run two races. He ran a NASCAR Truck Series race in 2024 at Nashville. And on Friday, he returned for another Truck Series race at Dover Motor Speedway.
His FOX broadcast counterpart, Kevin Harvick went to the spotter stand and grabbed a radio. Radio gold followed…
Dover Race Results: May 15, 2026 (NASCAR Truck Series)
“This is Kevin. We need to have a little better restart here bud,” Kevin Harvick stated over the radio.
“I don’t know if your vision is bad or not. We need to keep up a little bit better with the truck in front of you. Can we accomplish that please?”
Bowyer responded, “We can. Hey, I don’t know why you didn’t let him do that choose there Frank. He ain’t any better at math than I am.”
Harvick added, “We count the whole thing down for you. All you had to do was follow instructions. Which we know you’re not very good at.”
“So just in case you didn’t know, we are coming to the green flag. So, go ahead and close that gap up. We’re all watching.”
Bowyer responded, “Oh my god.”
After the race, Bowyer had more to say on Harvick…
He’s looking forward to the roles being reversed in the future.
“His ass better! I’ve already signed up to be his spotter!”
“He’s good at it! Trust me, he’s an easy target when it’s time to return the shots! His turn is coming!”
On Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series will race for $1M at Dover Motor Speedway. Clint Bowyer and Kevin Harvick will return to their day job, calling the race from the broadcast booth.
