NASCAR has issued penalties ahead of the race at Michigan International Speedway
Teams will take the green flag on Sunday at Michigan International Speedway. Before cars roll to the track they must clear multiple inspection points.
Multiples cars have failed inspection more than twice. The cars for Chris Buescher and JJ Yeley both failed two attempts through the inspection line.
Per the rules, NASCAR will eject a crew member from each team. They will also lose pit selection.
Both teams were able to clear inspection on their third attempt.

1 Failure
No Penalty
2 Failures
Crew member of NASCAR’s choosing ejected. Additionally, the team loses pit selection.
3 Failures
Not permitted to qualify plus above penalty. They also have to serve a pass-through penalty at the start of the race.
