INDYCAR is heading to Spain in 2027
INDYCAR has released part two of the 2027 schedule and the full calendar is now complete. View the full 2027 INDYCAR schedule below.
The new Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has been added to the schedule. The track is located in Montmeló, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
All 2027 races will again air via FOX.
Most notably, the Streets of Washington DC has been removed from the schedule. The event was scheduled on the 250th birthday of the United States and will not return in 2027.
Here’s the statement from the Freedom 250 Grand Prix:
“This summer’s Freedom 250 Grand Prix was an incredible event that was always intended to be a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of our country’s 250th birthday. Today’s release of the 2027 NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule confirms that the race will not return to Washington D.C. next season. We want to thank all of the amazing fans, our event partners and the agencies and entities that helped make the 2026 Freedom 250 Grand Prix possible. We were honored to host this unique weekend salute to America with an epic INDYCAR race on the streets of our nation’s capital and we are proud of the success and the impact of the event across our sport, Washington D.C. and throughout our country.”
