Lap 5, Joey Gase is in the wall, caution. A mechanical failure or flat tire sent him into the wall. Brad Keselowski hit the pit lane. Bold call, only 10 sets are available.

Green, Truex is clear before turn 1. Brad Keselowski is rolling 3 wide, through everyone. In one lap, he’s up to 7th. Meanwhile, Larson takes the lead with new tires. The tires are only 5 laps fresher, it makes a difference.

20 laps remain in stage 1, Kevin Harvick just went by Truex on the bottom. Truex filed in behind him, attempting the Harvick line. Truex got sideways off turn 4 and nearly spun out. Harvick has been glued to the bottom. He’s also been the fastest in long runs, all weekend.

3 to go, Kyle Busch thought he had a loose wheel as the beginning of this run. He just passed Kevin Harvick for 3rd. Busch is currently the fastest car on the race track.

Danica took a hard right hand turn into the wall. Kasey Kahne was on the brakes but got into the back of her after she clipped the wall.

Danica Patrick, “I hit the wall in 3 and 4 and just got a tire rub. I blew a right rear.”

12 laps to go, Martin Truex Jr, Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson are nose to tail for the lead. 9 to go, Larson was the fastest car, but he’s not fighting the top two drivers.
