Daytona practice 2 results – The final practice before Daytona 500 qualifying

The final practice session ahead of the 2018 Daytona 500 was completed just moments ago. The rookie went to the top of the board.

William Byron turned a time of 44.625. That’s an average of 201.681 mph.

The speeds are up dramatically this year do to the elimination of the ride height rule. NASCAR even forced a gear change between practice 1 and 2 to try and get the RPM down a little bit. They went faster.
