“I’m waiting on your government to give me a Green Card or not.”

Shane van Gisbergen made the move from Supercars to stock cars in 2023. He won at Chicago in his NASCAR Cup Series debut back in 2023.

This weekend, Homestead-Miami Speedway is hosting the final race of the 2026 season. Then, it’s a brief off-season until the Daytona 500 in February.

“So, I’m stuck here at the moment. So, it’s not really a normal off-season. I’d love to be able to come and go but I can’t.”

“I don’t really know what’s going to happen this off-season. I’d really love to be able to go home for the summer and see my family. But, I can’t.”

“It’s such a complicated process. But, we’re doing it the right way. We’ll see what happens.”

SVG has collected eight NASCAR Cup Series wins and another six in the O’Reilly Series. His current contract with Trackhouse expires at the end of the 2027 season.
