Shane van Gisbergen hints at ‘big changes’ coming to Trackhouse

Trackhouse Racing has big changes coming

Trackhouse Racing currently fields three cars full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series. The team owned by Justin Marks made its debut in 2021.

Driver Lineup: Ross Chastain (No. 1), Connor Zilisch (No. 88) and Shane van Gibsergen (No. 97).

All three drivers have contracts that expire at the end of the 2027 season. For Connor Zilisch, he will head to Hendrick Motorsports when his contract expires following the 2027 season.

After the race at Martinsville, SVG stated that Trackhouse Racing has major changes coming. What could those be?

Shane van Gisbergen says changes are coming to Trackhouse Raicng

“The team’s done a really good job,” Shane van Gisbergen stated after the race at Martinsville Speedway.

“Ross was up front for most of the race. I’m sure if I qualified up front I could’ve raced those guys a bit better. But, by the time I got there my thing was pretty beat up.”

“We’ve got some big team changes coming. It’s good to still be experimenting and all three cars trying stuff. Yeah, we gotta work forward as a team.”

“As a team, we’re working quite well together at the moment.”

Landon Cassill comments

“I am not a reporter, and have no idea the pressure of being on that side of the mic in realtime, but SVG drops ‘big team changes coming’ and not a single follow up question to it from the three reporters in this bullpen.”

“Instead we got ‘does martinsville fit your driving style’, ‘why did you qualify bad’ and ‘do you like short tracks now’. I was on the edge of my seat to get that follow up question. Maybe next time.”
