The chase for a chance
Lindsey Vonn is a 3-time Olympic medalist. At age 33, she’s a 4-time skiing contestant of the Winter Olympics.
Noah Gragson is a stage 1 winner at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. At age 19, he also has a win under his belt which came at the paperclip of Martinsville Speedway.
Recently, the Kyle Busch Motorsports driver has been dropping notes on twitter.
Feb 20: “Aye lindseyvonn, imma shoot my shot again since I didn’t get a reply last time. Dinner 7:00pm tomorrow. On me.”
Feb 20: Truck series competitor Riley Hurbst tweets a congratulations to Lindsey Vonn after her Olympics run. To which Noah responds, “Tryna steal my girl??”
Feb 22: Noah tweets a picture of the empty seat across the dinner table.
Thus far, all attempts are for not. Perhaps she’s just doesn’t have her phone on the mountain?
“I’ve been trying my hardest to get here to tweet me back, like me back, on social media. She hasn’t quite done that yet. Unfortunately, but we gotta keep on pushing hard,” Noah Gragson stated on February 22nd via an interview with Dave Moody on Sirius XM NASCAR Radio.
“You gotta stay patient. Some things in life, you gotta work hard for. This is one of those things. I’m going to keep up and be persistent.”
There’s a 14 year age gap between these two athletes. Was that a concern?
“No. No. That’s just a number in my opinion. I’m 19 and a half. I feel like a little kid saying that. But, hopefully it will make my chances a little bit better.”
More recently, Noah Gragson provided a status update on the chase for a chance.
Feb 24th: “You know, she must have bad wifi or something at PF Changs [Pyeongchang]. So, she hasn’t gotten back to me. But, I think it’s just bad wifi,” Gragson told Fox Sports.
Now, the dreams have been crushed. But, he gave it hell out there.
Guy eyes girl. Girl doesn’t acknowledge guy. The end.
Breaking news: I have officially moved on from Lindsay Vonn. #HerLoss
