Richmond Raceway is a track that eats tires. Being quick for one lap might not be beneficial to the overall pace of a run.
Kevin Harvick is set to start from the pole. The team brought new equipment this weekend at Richmond, it’s working. Erik Jones will join him on the front row.
On Friday, drivers were on track for one round of practice in addition to qualifying. Final practice was a rain out. That’s left some guessing across the garage.
However, most teams made long runs in the opening round of practice.
