NASCAR tv schedule for Talldega Superspeedway; Info on the brand new rules package
This weekend, NASCAR heads to Talladega Superspeedway. The track is a 2.66-mile superspeedway located in Talladega, Alabama.

The Alabama NASCAR track hosts a double-header race weekend. The NASCAR Xfinity Series and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series are on-hand.
The race weekend will conclude with a Sunday afternoon showing of the GEICO 500. It’s the same old race track but everything else has changed…
New 2019 Talladega Rules
The 2019 NASCAR rules package is in play for the superspeedway event this weekend.
The engines will be fitted with a 0.922-inch tapered spacer. This will be the first time the cars have seen this spacer in use on a superspeedway. The Daytona 500 earlier in the year was run with the traditional restrictor plate.
There are many changes from the previous Talladega event. A 1-inch bolt-on track bar mount will be installed to raise the bar by 1 inch.
Meanwhile, the aerodynamic changes might drastically change the racing. Cars now have a 9 inch rear spoiler (1 inch higher than the rest of the year), tapered radiator pan, 2 inch front splitter overhang.
The front nose will also be fitted with aero ducts. This is also the first superspeedway race run with the aero ducts installed.
How will it go?
“This is going to be the most exciting Friday practice,” Ryan Blaney told Sirius XM NASCAR Radio.
Teams haven’t experienced this rules package on a track like this in the past. Nobody knows what they have. They’ll need to figure that out, in a draft during practice on Friday.
