Kansas Speedway is a 1.5-mile oval located in Kansas City, Kansas. The track broke ground in 1999 and opened in 2001.
It’s a condensed weekend of racing on tap. Just two days on on-track action are in store. Also worth noting, the MENCS practice sessions are hosted back to back and they are also both before the qualifying session.
Less inspections are in store for this weekend as several will be combined into one.
MENCS Rules for Kansas: The Kansas Speedway rules package will see less horsepower and an increase in downforce. A tapered engine spacer will reduce the horsepower significantly since the last trip to the track. Additionally, the rear spoiler is significantly taller and the front splitter has more surface area. The aero ducts are also in play.
