Kevin Harvick and the hometown driver of Clint Bowyer will lead them to the starting line. 11 others were sent to the back of the field after they failed inspection ahead of the race.

Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 80

Green, Harvick gets the jump on the top as his teammate checks up to let him to the bottom. Harvick leads and they run two by two behind him off turn four.

Lap 10, Joey Logano started at the back after failing pre-race inspection twice. That’s no issue for him as he’s already up to 15th.

Lap 31, the competition caution is out. Harvick had a 4 second lead which will no evaporate.

The field heads for the pit lane. The first 9 cars to the pit exit all took two tires. William Byron will lead them to the restart as Harvick restarts in 10th with four tires.

Green, Bowyer is clear on the bottom. Harvick runs four wide and through the middle behind them, he’s up to 3rd at the start finish after just one lap!

Lap 49

Lap 49, Harvick has a run on Bowyer off turn four. They split the lap car ahead and Harvick heads into turn one with the lead.

Denny Hamlin has a flat right rear tire. He spins across the track and the caution is out. The crush panels have been knocked out once again. Last week, the same thing happened and he had double vision due to carbon monoxide poisoning.

Harvick is the first car off the pit lane but he’ll restart in 10th once again as 9 cars stayed out.

Green, Chase Elliott leads into turn one. Newman works to his inside in the middle of the corner and Busch makes it three wide for the lead off turn two. Elliott wins the battle.

10 to go in stage one, Harvick is on the bumper of Chase Elliott for the lead. Harvick takes it without a fight.

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 80

The field heads to the pit lane. Kurt Busch leads them to the pit exit with two tires, Harvick is off 2nd.

Green, Busch and Harvick run nose to tail around the bottom through turn one.

Lap 92, Harvick works to the side of Busch. He’s been lurking him since the restart and now he’s clear.

Lap 121, Martin Truex Jr hits the pit lane to begin the green flag pit cycle. On track, Harvick leads Chase Elliott by 1 second. Lap 123, Harvick hits the pit lane.

15 to go in stage two, Harvick cycles back to the lead. But, Chase Elliott has a run on him into turn three. Harvick takes the bottom and Elliott drives right by on the outside off turn four.

Harvick made changes on the last stop. He just told the crew to reverse that change. The sun has also set at the track.

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 107

The field heads for the pit lane. Slow stop of Elliott, Harvick is off first off. Elliott will restart 7th.

Green flag on stage three, Harvick and Blaney are side by side for the lead. Blaney holds on with just two tires via the outside lane. The field runs four wide behind them as Harvick is finally clear of Blaney.

89 to go, Harvick leads by several seconds over Alex Bowman. However, Harvick is returning to the pit lane with what he thinks is a loose wheel! He pits for new right side tires.

70 to go, Kyle Busch has caught the back bumper of Alex Bowman. He fades just as quickly as he got there.

55 to go, Bowman now leads Kyle Busch by 4 seconds. Green flag pit stops are underway.

50 to go

50 to go, the caution is out! One of the tires got away from the crew of Ryan Newman and it rolled into the infield grass. The front 8 cars had not hit the pit lane.

Only 7 cars are on the lead lap and they head for the pit lane as 22 cars stay out for the wave around. Alex Bowman is first in and Kyle Busch is first off.

Pit road penalty! Kyle Busch drove through too many stalls heading to his pit stall. He’ll head to the tail!

All those wave around cars are confused of where to lineup. They’re 4 wide coming to the green, NASCAR waves it off to sort out the order.

Green, Alex Bowman and Chase Elliott run side by side into turn one. Elliott noses ahead on the bottom into turn three to take the lead.

35 to go, Chase Elliott snakes the back stretch to break the draft from Bowman. Ricky Stenhouse Jr runs right there with them.

30 to go, Bowman works to the inside of Bowman.

28 to go

28 to go, the caution is out as Ryan Blaney cuts a tire. Kevin Harvick will get the free pass.

Green, Chase Elliott and William Byron run side by side as Elliott blocks Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Elliott was nearly turned heading into turn one.

22 to go, as Elliott and Bowman run side by side, Ricky Stenhouse Jr cuts to the bottom and swings to the lead!

20 to go, Bowman looks to the inside of Stenhouse, he’s clear! Stenhouse loses the nose and drops several spots.

18 to go, Brad Keselowski is on the bumper of Bowman with four new tires. They cross and work opposite lane. Keselowski is closing any lane that Bowman isn’t running. He’s chasing clean air and the race lead.

11 to go, Bowman runs the bottom and Keselowski runs the top. Bowman moves to the top in turn three! Keselowski to the bottom but he can’t complete the pass.

7 to go, Bowman, Keselowski and Bowman run nose to tail. They catch lap traffic and Keselowski has a run. He fakes to the inside, Bowman cuts off the wall and Keselowski slices to the right and squeezes between Bowman and the outside wall before the corner. Keselowski leads!

4 to go

4 to go, the caution is out! Matt DiBenedetto has cooked an engine and possibly dripped fluid on the track. It’s going to be a NASCAR overtime race finish.

Stenhouse, Bowyer, Larson, Reddick and Harvick hit the pit lane for four tires. Bowyer will restart in 7th. This is going to be outrageous…

Green, Brad Keselowski gets the jump on the inside lane. He’s clear before turn one. They run three and four wide behind him.

Bowman and Jones race for 2nd as Keselowski drives away. Brad Keselowski takes the win at Kansas Speedway!
