Three NASCAR crew members suspended in this week’s penalty report
NASCAR hosted a triple-header race weekend. Watkins Glen International welcomed both the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCRA Xfinity Series. Earlier in the week, the NASCAR Truck Series visited the dirt track at Eldora Speedway.

Penalties have surfaced for all three divisions this week. Most notably, the truck of Sheldon Creed who suffered an infraction due to weight on the race truck.
Three NASCAR crew members on the #2 NASCAR truck have been suspended for the next three weeks. Due to the schedule, they will not return to the track until mid-September.

Date: August 4, 2019
Track: Watkins Glen International
Infraction: Sections 10.9.10.4: Tires and Wheels – Note: Lug nut(s) not properly installed.
Penalty: Crew chief (Mark Hillman) has been fined $10,000.

NASCAR Xfinity Series
No new penalties were announced in the NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Watkins Glen International.
However, AJ Allmendinger did fail post-race inspection after finishing 2nd. He was disqualified and relegated to a last place finish. This was announced hours after the race.

NASCAR Truck Series
Driver/Car: Sheldon Creed #2
Date: July 31, 2019
Track: Eldora Speedway
Infraction: Section 20.3.4.a Ballast Containers – Note: Loss or separation of added ballast from the vehicle.
Penalty: Crew Chief (Jeff Stankiewicz), Truck Chief (Austin Pollak), Engineer (Jonathan Stewart) have been suspended for the next three NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series points events, through September 10, 2019.
