Today, the NASCAR Xfinity Series takes on the road course in Lexington, Ohio. It;s the B&L Transport 170 from the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

There’s a new pit procedure this weekend. Tires can’t be changed during a green flag stop. Teams have 70 seconds to add fuel or tires, but they can’t do both. The field is frozen under stage break pit stops.

Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 25 (1-25 / 75)

Green flag, Austin Cindric is clear before the flag stand but Ty Gibbs looks to his outside under braking in turn one. He gets to the outside of Cindric and has the inside into turn two but Cindric holds the lead.

Noah Gragson is off track back in turn one. He loses his entire nose and picks up heavy damage. The caution is out as Gragson will go off on the flatbed.

Green, Cindric clears Gibbs out of turn one.

Lap 8, Tommy Joe Martins has lost an engine and the caution is out.

Green, Cindric is clear off turn one but Gibbs has a run into turn one. He looks to the inside under braking and clears Cindric, Gibbs leads. Cindric remains on his bumper and he dives to the inside in turn four, Cindric takes the lead right back.

Lap 15

Lap 15, AJ Allmendinger has climbed to the bumper of Cindric in the battle for the lead. He leans on his bumper, dives to the inside and clear, Allmendinger leads.

Lap 19, trouble for Harrison Burton as he runs wide in turn one and blows the nose off in the grass. Burton coasts to the pit lane, no caution.

3 to go in stage one, Ty Gibbs pits from 3rd and Hemric pits from 4th. They’re getting fuel only. They aren’t allowing tire changes under the green flag.

1 to go in stage one, Miguel Paludo is around and in the sand. He’s able to get it out of the beach, no caution.

AJ Allmendinger cruises to the win in stage one at Mid-Ohio!

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 25 (26-50 / 75)

Pit Penalties: Brandon Brown has been caught speeding. Jeremy Clements exceeded the 70 second pit limit and he’ll lose his restart position.

Allmendinger leads the field to the pit lane. Ty Gibbs and Daniel Hemric will line up on the front row for the restart. Allmendinger restarts outside the top 5.

Green flag on stage two, Gibbs is clear into turn one.

Lap 31, Justin Allgaier heads to the garage.

Lap 35, Josh Berry is off track. He spins it back the correct way, no caution.

Lap 41

Lap 41, Jeremy Clements is slow with an ignition issue. He comes to a stop on the track, caution.

Cindric pits from 4th. He’s the only car in the top 10 to pit.

Green, Gibbs clears Allmendinger into turn one. But, Allmendinger has a run into turn two, he dives to the inside and clear. Allmendinger leads as Haley follows him through to take 2nd away.

5 to go in stage two, Daniel Hemric has a flat left rear. No caution, he coasts to the pit lane.

3 to go in stage two, Allmendinger pits from the race lead. Ty Gibbs follows him. Fuel only for both cars.

Pit Penalty: Teams must stay on the pit lane for 50 seconds if they pit for fuel under green. Allmendinger only stayed for 47 seconds. Now, he’ll be forced to go to the rear.

Justin Haley wins stage two at Mid-Ohio!

Mid-Ohio
Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 25 (51-75 / 75)

Ryan Sieg stays out. Austin Cindric restarts on the outside row. Allmendinger goes to the back to serve his penalty with a restart in 31st.

Green flag on stage three, Sieg and Cindric run side by side into turn one. Cindric wins the battle on the outside and takes the race lead. Michaell Annett quickly moves to 2nd.

19 to go, Allmendinger has climbed to 20th.

15 to go, Allmendinger is up to 12th. He’s passing them inside, outside and three wide. Ty Gibbs and Ryan Sief rub doors in turn two by Gibbs takes the spot.

12 to go, Allmendinger has climbed to 5th. However, he’s 14 seconds behind race leader Austin Cindric.

9 to go, Allmendinger to 3rd.

8 to go

8 to go, Jeb Burton is stuck in the gravel and the caution is out. Allmendinger is back in the race.

Green, Cindric and Gibbs run even into turn one. Allmendinger dives to the inside to make it three wide for the win! They all make contact and Allmendinger pops out with the lead. Gibbs and Haley rub doors and Cindric gets pushed through the infield, no caution.

Brandon Jones jumps the curb and clips Kris Wright. The caution is out.

Brett Moffitt was set to restart in 2nd, now his car has stalled. Ty Gibbs will now restart 2nd.

Green, Allmendinger is clear into turn one. Ty Gibbs is all over Justin Haley for 2nd.

White flag, Allmendinger leads Haley by two car lengths. Paludo takes 4th from Herbst. As he throws a block into turn two, Paludo gets spun, no caution.
