The NASCAR Truck Series are first on the Saturday ticket in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. They’re on the grid for the start of the CRC Brakleen 150 at Pocono Raceway.

Kyle Busch is in the field today. It’s his last truck race for the 2021 season and he’ll be coming from 22nd.

Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 15 (1-15 / 60)

Green flag, they’re crash in the mid pack before the start/finish line! Jack Wood missed a shift and Chandler Smith got into his bumper. As Wood was sent across the track and into the wall, others like Johnny Sauter were collected.

Green, Todd Gilliland gets the jump on the inside lane. They fan out five wide behind them. Rhodes takes over 2nd.

Lap 5, Kyle Busch is slicing three wide as he climbs through the field. He’s up inside the top 10 already.

Lap 6, Rhodes in on the bumper of Smith in the battle for the lead. Smith snakes across the front stretch in an attempt to block all sides. However, Rhodes works alongside anyway and takes the lead into turn one.

Lap 8, Smith has a tow from Rhodes. He drives right by and returns to the lead. Sheldon Creed follows him through to take 2nd.

Zane Smith wins stage one at Pocono Raceway!

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 15 (16-30 / 60)

Most of the leaders stay out. Nemechek and the rest of the field hit the pit lane. Nemechek restarts in 6th.

Green, Zane Smith leads into turn one but Kyle Busch has a run into turn two. Busch dives to the inside but he gets loose and Smith holds the lead on the outside lane. Busch falls to 5th with the loss of momentum as Gilliland takes over 2nd.

Lap 23, Gilliland has a run on Smith. He looks to the inside in turn one but he cant complete the pass on the inside, Smith holds the lead.

3 to go in stage two, many are pitting before the end of the stage. Kyle Busch pits to repair light right rear damage after brushing the wall. Smith pits a lap later and gives up the lead, many follow.

Pit Penalty: Zane Smith entered the pit lane after it closed. He’ll restart at the tail of the field in stage three.

John Hunter Nemechek has elected to stay out after a pit stop at the start of this stage. He’ll cruise to the win in stage two.

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 30 (31-60 / 60)

The rest of the field hits the pit lane. Kyle Busch cycles to the race lead with Carson Hocevar to his inside.

Pit Penalty: Ben Rhodes has been caught speeding on the pit lane.

Green flag on stage three, Busch and Hocevar run near even into turn one. Hocevar drives it deeper on the inside and clears Busch but runs wide off the corner. Busch swings under him to retake the lead. Sheldon Creed follows him through to take 2nd.

Lap 37, Busch snakes across the long front stretch as Creed is all over his bumper.

15 to go, Kyle Busch leads Creed by 2 seconds.

14 to go, Chandler Smith hits the pit lane under green with an issue.

10 to go, Stewart Friesen backs it in the fence and the caution is out.

Chandler Smith, Carson Hocevar and others hit the pit lane. Most of the leaders stay out.

Green, Busch and Nemechek run side by side into turn one. Nemechek drives it deep to the inside, he clears him and slides wide off turn two to put Busch in dirty air.

4 to go, Nemechek leads Busch by three truck lengths.

3 to go, Sheldon Creed looks to the inside of Busch for 2nd. He gets loose and both of them nearly crash. Nemechek opens the gap.

2 to go, Nemechek leads Busch by 2 seconds.
