Race Report

Green flag, Bonsignore gets the jump on the outside lane and he’s clear into turn one. Trouble at the back, no caution.

Matt Swanson slides through oil in turn four! He drives right into the wall. Max McLaughlin spins and he slams the wall as well. The caution is out as officials dispatch speedy dry.

Green, Bonsignore is clear on the outside lane into turn one. Preece has a run off turn two, Preece drives it deep to the bottom in turn three and slides him for the lead.

Lap 14, Bonsignore drafts Preece off turn two. He looks to the inside in turn three, Bonsignore returns to the lead. The top 15 run bumper to bumper.

Lap 17, Preece to the inside in turn one. Andy Seuss look jumps out of line from 3rd in an attempt to pass two at once but he can’t make it work. Bonsignore has a run on Preece, Bonsignore back to the lead.

Lap 20, Preece back to the lead. The top 4 have broken away from the pack and remain bumper to bumper.

Lap 23

Lap 23, Bonsignore pulls out of line and takes the lead. Preece remains on his bumper.

Lap 27, Preece to the inside as Bonsignore holds 2nd. As they dice for the lead, 10 cars now run in the lead draft.

Lap 32, three car breakaway at the front. Bonsignore back to the lead.

Lap 35, Preece dives to the inside in turn one. He slides him and clear, Bonsignore holds 2nd.

Lap 37, Bonsignore has a run off turn four and he’s clear into turn one.

Lap 42, Preece back to the lead. He leads Bonsignore, McKennedy and Seuss.

Lap 43, Preece back to the lead via the inside lane.

Lap 44, Doug Coby slows. He hits the pit lane, no caution.

Lap 50, Bonsignore leads Preece by a few car lengths as Preece gets loose off the corner. Both of these cars have finally broken away from the rest of the field.

Lap 51, Preece brushes the wall with the right rear off turn two! He keeps it rolling.

37 to go, Bonsignore leads Preece by 0.8 seconds. Pit stops are underway for some.

27 to go

27 to go, Bryan Dauzat is up in smoke and the caution is out.

Bonsignore, Preece and the rest of the field hit the pit lane. Tires for Bonsignore and Preece as many take just fuel. Most return to the pit lane on the next caution lap to add fuel under this caution as you can’t take tires and fuel on the same stop. Bonsignore did not pit for the 2nd time and thinks he can make it to the end on fuel. Anthony Nocella and Ron Silk both stayed out, without taking fuel.

Bonsignore and Nocella set the front row for the restart.

Green, Nocella has a run on the inside into turn one. He slides and clears Bonsignore but stacks up the outside lane in the process. Silk drives under them both to take the lead.

17 to go, Preece is on the bumper of Silk off turn two. He slides him in turn three and clear.

16 to go, Silk slides Preece for the lead in turn three, clear.

13 to go, Preece to the inside of Silk in turn one, clear.

10 to go

10 to go, SIlk to the inside of Preece, clear.

8 to go, Tyler Rypkem spins with a flat tire and backs it into the fence. The caution is out.

Green, Silk and Preece run even into turn one but Preece ignores the braking zone, drives it deep to the bottom and slides clear of Silk.

3 to go, Silk slides Preece in turn three. Preece gets into his rear bumper but they both continue. Spin behind them as J.B. Fortin and Eric Goodale find the wall in the stackup.

This will setup a Green, White, Checkered finish.

Green, Silk gets the jump with a push from Bonsignore into turn one. Both of them clear Preece.

White flag, Bonsignore is all over the bumper of Silk into turn one as they break away from the field. Bosingore looks to the inside into turn three, Silk throws a block and they touch! Wheels jump off the ground but Silk holds the lead into turn three.

With the block, Silk has a narrow entry into turn three. Preece stayed to the outside and now he has momentum with a normal wide arc into turn three. Silk slides high in turn four as Preece cuts to the bottom and clears them both! Three wide for 2nd behind him.
