Dirt Late Model drivers battled for $50,000 to win at Cedar Lake Speedway
Tonight, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series unloads in New Richmond, WI. Its the finale of the USA Nationals on the 3/8-mile dirt track of Cedar Lake Speedway.

Rain rolled into the area this afternoon and it’s rained several times since. The track is going to be extremely heavy, for a long race.
The 27-car field is set to battle for $50,000. Cade Dillard and Ashton Winger line up on the front row. 100 laps of dirt late model racing are up next…

Race Report
Green flag, Winger leads on the outside lane into turn one. Owens follows him through to take over 2nd.
Lap 2, Owens has a look under Winger in the battle for the lead, Winger shuts the door and holds the lead.
Lap 3, Jimmy Mars, Dennis Erb Jr, Tyler Bruening and Shannon Babb tangle and the caution is out.
Green, Winger leads into turn one. Owens and Max Blair run side by side for 2nd, Owens wins that battle. Bronson knocks the cushion and pulls even with Owens for 2nd. Bronson takes that spot and he’s looking for the lead.
Lap 4, Chase Junghans is slow and the caution is out.
Green, Winger leads into turn one. Bronson knocks the cushion behind him and pulls to his right rear off turn two. Bronson to the cushion in turn three and he drives right by Winger to take the lead off turn four.
Lap 13, Owens looks to the inside of Winger. They run side by side but Owens finally completes the pass.
Lap 15, Bronson struggles with lap traffic. Owens is closing.
Lap 18, Owens looks to the inside of Bronson for the lead. Bronson holds him off.
Lap 20, Bronson looks inside of Dennis Erb Jr but the door closes. Owens pulls even on the outside. Bronson forces his way through lap traffic and holds the lead.
Lap 23, the caution is out.
Green, Bronson leads as Owens pinches down on Sheppard to hold 2nd.
Lap 30
Lap 30, Bronson leads Owens by 2 seconds. However, the leader has caught the tail of the field.
Lap 31, Chad Simpson slows and the caution is out.
Green, Bronson leads as Sheppard slides Owens for 2nd.
Lap 45, Bronson makes contact with the lap car of Dennis Erb Jr. Bronson leads Sheppard by 2 seconds.
Lap 54, Frank Heckenast Jr slows and the caution is out.
Green, Bronson leads. Owens retakes 2nd but Sheppard takes it right back.
Lap 61, the caution is out as Jake Timm has a piece of sheet metal brocking his view. Hoffman hits the pit lane as well.
Green, Bronson leads Owens into turn one. Sheppard and Davenport battle side by side for 3rd.
Lap 63, Sheppard bobbles on the cushion in turn four, Davenport drives by on the inside to take 3rd away.
Lap 70, Bronson leads Owens by 2 seconds. Yet again, the leader has caught the tail of the field.
Lap 73, Sheppard jumps the cushion. Chris Madden drives by on the inside to take over 4th.
Lap 74
Lap 74, Bronson slides a lap car and he slams the wall in the process! Bronson knocks the wall with the right rear, then the car slaps around and knocks the front. Bronson throttles up and holds the lead. Behind that, Sheppard slows with a flat right rear. The caution is out.
Green, Bronson leads but Owens and Davenport look to his inside, three wide for the lead. Bronson holds them off and leads off turn two.
Owens looks to the inside of Bronson in turn three. They bang doors off turn four! Bronson holds the lead.
Lap 79, Jimmy Owens has come to a stop off turn four! Owens has lost a driveshaft and the caution is out.
Green, Bronson and Davenport run side by side into turn one. Bronson jumps the cushion in turn one and falls to 4th. Madden slows with a flat, caution. No laps complete, Bronson returns to the lead.
Green, Bronson launches from the bottom for the first time all race. Winger slides him for the lead in turn one! Bronson crosses under him to retake the lead.
17 to go
17 to go, Ricky Weiss has climbed from 22nd to 4th. Feger runs 5th, he came through the B-Main.
15 to go, Bronson leads Davenport by a car length.
14 to go, Pierce slows and the caution is out.
Green, three wide for the lead in turn one! Bronson holds them off and leads Davenport off turn two.
12 to go, Bronson knocks the cushion as Davenport rolls the inside lane. Ricky Weiss has lost an entire wheel and hub behind them, caution.
Green, Davenport and Winger slide Bronson for the lead! Davenport leads off turn two.
11 to go, Bronson knocks the cushion in turn one and drives by Winger to retake 2nd.
9 to go, Bronson jumps the cushion in turn four. He has a flat left rear and the caution is out.
Green, Davenport leads. Brandon Overton and Winger run side by side for 2nd, Overton wins that battle on the bottom lane.
5 to go, Davenport leads Overton by 1 second.
