BAPS Motor Speedway is a 4/10-mile dirt track in York Haven, Pennsylvania. The track hosted the All-Star Circuit of Champions event on Sunday night.

Watch the Zeb Wise crash video below.

In qualifying, Zeb Wise entered the corner. He pitched it sideways and the car backed right up the banking.

He went fuel tank first into the outside wall. Immediately, the fuel cell explored and fire surrounded.

The car was still in motion. It flipped upside down and spun like a top with the wing side down on the race track.

The car traveled away from the spilled fuel and came to a rest upside down. The safety team ran to the scene with three fire extinguishers. The remaining parts of the fire were extinguished.

Zise climbed from the car under his own power. One of the safety workers dropped their extinguisher to help pull the driver out. Wise wrapped his arms around him as he was pulled from the car.

The video of the crash quickly went viral. Many fans stated they thought they saw a part fly from the machine. Zeb Wise addressed those comments when speaking on the crash…

Zeb Wise comments

“NOTHING fell off of the car,” Zeb Wise stated via social media.

“The part seen flying through the air was something I ran over on the track, and we think it came up and broke the radius rod. Have had a lot of people say the car just snapped, and that’s what it felt like.”

He added, “Everything kept me safe, thankfully.”
