Florida Dirt Nationals results from Lake City

Tonight, the XR Super Series unloads on a Friday night in Lake City, Florida. The half-mile dirt track of All-Tech Raceway is set for a $25,000 night of dirt late model racing. Yet, tomorrow’s show will cap off with a $50,000 payout.

Kyle Larson is racing his NASCAR Cup Series machine in Talladega, Alabama this weekend. However, he’s made the trip to Lake City, Florida as he pulls double-duty.

Brandon Overton and Kyle Bronson set the front row for the main event. 40 laps of dirt track racing are up next…

Report

Green flag, Madden gets a launch from row two and makes it three wide for the lead into turn one. Madden slides across the nose of Overton. Madden and Bronson run side by side off turn two. Bronson leads on the outside lane.

Lap 7, Madden run wide off turn four. Brandon Overton works the inside lane, right against the moisture, Overton to 2nd.

Lap 14, Bronson leads Overton by two car lengths. Both cars run right against the inside tire barriers.

Lap 18, Bronson works heavy lapped traffic. Overton, Madden and Davenport trail.

Lap 20, Davenport misses the bottom in turn three as McCreadie sticks his nose to the inside. McCreadie to 4th.

Lap 23, Overton has a run on Bronson off turn two. Overton dives to the inside, they rub doors into turn three, Bronson runs wide in turn four and Overton takes over the lead! Bronson falls to 3rd as McCreadie takes 2nd.

Lap 25

Lap 25, Overton run right against the inside tires. McCreadie has moved to the middle of the track.

Lap 27, McCreadie works to the outside of Overton! They run side by side for the lead.

McCreadie pinches Overton back into turn one, McCreadie to the lead!

10 to go, Ricky Weiss spins, caution.

Green, McCreadie leads as Bronson and Overton run side by side for 2nd. Bronson holds 2nd via the outside lane off turn two.

8 to go, Kyle Stickler has found speed on the outside lane. He drives right by Bronson to take 2nd away. Strickler is running right against the wall, higher than anyone.

5 to go, Strickler brushes the outside wall with the right rear but keeps rolling.

4 to go, McCreadie leads by 2 seconds.
