Meet the new driver for Rette Jones Racing
Frankie Muniz made the announcement on Wednesday. He caught the bug nearly two decades ago and now he’ll take on the NASCAR ladder.
The 37-year-old will drive for Rette Jones Racing. He’ll drive the No. 30 car.
He’s been racing since 2004. In 2022, he tested his first ARCA machine at Daytona International Speedway.
According to the agent for Muniz, the driver also has his eyes on a NASCAR Truck Series ride for Phoenix Raceway.
Frankie Muniz comments
“Finally making my dream a reality, this one is for my son and showing him that you can always chase your dreams,” Miniz stated via social media.
He added, “Excited for this opportunity with Rette Jones Racing, Ford, and our partners to go full time racing for an ARCA National Series Championship in 2023.”
“I didn’t really know how to become a race-car driver,” Muniz told NASCAR.com. “It’s like saying you want to be an astronaut or something. To me, it’s like a fantasy job for sure.”
“I know people might have maybe a negative expectation of what I can do,” Muniz said. “I’m ready to prove them wrong.”
“I don’t just see this as a couple years of me driving,” Muniz said. “I want to be involved in this sport for the rest of my life.”
