With 39 cars on the entry list, 1 car must be sent home. Only 38 cars are allowed to start the race.
Garrett Smithley posted a laptime good enough for 19th. He would have started the race.
However, after qualifying, NASCAR found an issue. His roof hatch was not sealed to the roof of the car. That has resulted in his laptime being disallowed.
With no official laptime set, Smithley is now the car that will not make the race.
Mason Massey would have been the car to go home had Smithley’s lap counted.
