Iowa Speedway tv numbers for the first NASCAR Cup Series race
On Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series took the green flag for the first time at Iowa Speedway. The track broke ground 18 years ago, Sunday’s race was the biggest event in the history of the track.
The grandstands sold out months in advance. And people tuned into their television in bulk.
2.693 million turned in to watch Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race according to Adam Stern. The event was shown via the USA network.
Due to this being the first NASCAR Cup Series race at the track, there’s no direct comparison for TV Ratings. However, the race was the most-watched cable sporting event of the weekend.
