One full program has already been completed today in California, a makeup event from yesterday’s rain postponement. Now, the gates have been cleared and re-stacked for the second USAC National Midget event of the day on the 1/4-mile dirt track of Merced Speedway.

24 to go, Kale Drake slows with a flat tire. The caution is out.
Green, Seavey leads Sarff and Larson. They all roll the cushion in turn one.
19 to go, Larson works by Sarff for 2nd.
17 to go, Corey Day stalls in turn two, caution.
Green, Seavey jumps the cushion into turn one. Larson has a run and looks inside into turn three. He can’t clear him.
17 to go, Larson slides Seavey for the lead. Seavey crosses under him off turn two.
Karter Sarff jumps the cushion and slows. The caution is back out.
Green, Larson slides Seavey for the lead. Larson to the lead!
Kofoid to 2nd.
5 to go, Larson works heavy lap traffic. Kofoid is closing the gap.
