NASCAR Cup Series drivers are on the grid in Talladega, Alabama. The 2.66-mile of Talladega Superspeedway is set to host the second of three races in the Round of 8 for the NASCAR Playoffs.

Stage 1 – Report

Laps: 60 (1-60 / 188)

Green flag, they form side-by-side at the front. Lap 2, Josh Berry pulls out to make it three wide from the front to the back. Berry noses ahead.

Lap 4, now the field has formed four wide. They’re aggressive early in this race.

Lap 6, Bubba Wallace to the lead with Kyle Busch on his bumper.

Lap 9, Josh Berry is shoved back to the lead with help from Joey Logano. Berry leads via the outside lane.

Lap 18, Kyle Busch is shoved to the lead.

Lap 32, Josh Berry returns to the lead via the inside this time. There’s two lines trading the lead at the front of the field.

Lap 40, Brad Keselowski leads. Green flag stops are on the way.

Pit Penalty: Chase Briscoe and Kyle Busch will serve a pass-through penalty.

Lap 49, the pit cycle is complete. AJ Allmendinger cycles to the race lead. He begins blocking runs from multiple lanes.

Lap 52, big crash at the front of the field! Noah Gragson is turned off a bump draft from Erik Jones. Gragson clips Allmendinger and they’re both turned in front of the field. Chase Elliott, Justin Haley, Austin Cindric, Austin Dillon, Ricky Stenhouse Jr and others are collected.

Many drivers dive for the pit lane. Joey Logano and others stay out.

Green with 2 to go in stage one, Logano and Gibbs run side-by-side at the front. Gibbs is shoved clear into turn three.

1 to go, Gibbs throws a block on Reddick. Reddick swings to the outside. They run side-by-side off turn four.

Stage 2 – Report

Laps: 60 (61-120 / 188)

Gibbs leads most of the leaders to the pit lane. Buscher wins the race to the pit exit. Ty Dillon and Chris Buescher take over the front row.

Green flag on stage two, Buescher is shoved to the lead.

Lap 69, Josh Berry to the lead via the outside lane.

Lap 73, they form three wide for the lead once more. Kyle Busch is shoved out front and he begins blocking runs from all three lanes.

Lap 80, Chase Briscoe leads the inside lane as Anthony Alfredo leads the outside lane.

Lap 93, the field is back to three wide racing for the lead. Green flag stops are up shortly. Kyle Busch noses ahead via the outside lane.

9 to go in stage two, Shane van Gibsergen spins under braking while trying to get to the pit lane. The caution is out in the middle of the pit cycle.

Chase Briscoe and Carson Hocevar cycle to the front row.

Green with 4 to go in stage two, Briscoe is shoved to the lead by Kyle Larson. Briscoe begins blocking runs from both lanes behind.

3 to go, Briscoe attempts a block but he misses as Larson works to his outside.

2 to go, Briscoe clears him into turn one.

1 to go, Larson and Briscoe rub doors into turn one! Larson wiggles off a bump draft off turn four.

Stage 3 – Report

Laps: 68 (121-188 / 188)

Briscoe leads the field to the pit lane. John Hunter Nemechek wins the race to the pit exit. Josh Berry heads to the garage area.

Green flag on stage three, Nemechek is shoved to the lead off turn two.

Lap 132, Ty Gibbs has a run via the inside lane. He clears him and moves right to the top. A lap later, Bubba Wallace pulls to the same move, Wallace to the lead.

Lap 134, Blaney shoves Logano to the lead. He stays on the bottom and Logano holds the lead.

31 to go

31 to go, Hamlin shoves Todd Gilliland to the lead.

23 to go, Cody Ware spins in oil and the caution is out.

Gilliland leads the field to the pit lane. Blaney wins the race to the pit exit. It’s a long stop for Denny Hamlin as the crew lifts the hood to fix a throttle issue.

Green, Gilliland clears Blaney off turn two.

12 to go, they form three wide for the lead. Zane Smith is shoved to the lead via the outside lane.

9 to go, Larson shoves Gilliland to the lead. They run three wide behind him.

7 to go, three wide for the lead once more. Buescher shoves Briscoe to the lead.

4 to go, Larson shoves Byron to the lead on the outside of Briscoe.

2 to go, Buescher is shoved to the lead. He throws a block on Byron and Buescher is turned down the backstretch! Buescher slams the inside wall and the caution is out.

Logano, Blaney and others head for the pit lane as they’re low on fuel.

Green in NASCAR Overtime, Byron and Larson run side-by-side into turn one.

1 to go, Wallace shoves Larson to the lead. Larson heads to the bottom and Wallace pulls to his outside. Larson is out of fuel!

Briscoe dives inside of Wallace into turn three. Byron spins through the tri-oval, no caution.
