NASCAR penalty report after Circuit of the Americas

On Sunday, NASCAR Cup Series drivers raced on the Circuit of the Americas road course. After the race weekend, NASCAR has issued two suspensions.

On lap 75 of the race, Ross Chastain suffered from a detached right-rear wheel, under the green flag. Officials have issued a suspension to rear-tire changer Kenneth Pozega as well as jackman Josh Appleby as a result.

Level: Safety

Infection: (Sections 8.8.10.4.A&D) Tires and Wheels Note: Loss or separation of an improperly installed tire/wheel from the vehicle during the event.

Penalty: Crew members (Josh Appleby and Kenneth Pozega) have been suspended from the next two NASCAR Cup Series Championship points events, through Las Vegas Motor Speedway, March 15, 2026.

No penalties were announced the Truck Series or O’Reilly Series.
