Denny Hamlin has the dominant car for most of the day. Chase Elliott pitted out of cycle to take the race lead. A perfectly timed caution allowed Elliott to hold the race lead and go on to grab his first win of the season.
Bubba Wallace came into this race third in the standings. However, after an incident with Carson Hocevar, he has lost significant ground.
