Race Report
Green flag, Power makes a move to the outside of Palou into turn one. McLaughlin slips by for 2nd on the exit.
Lap 10, Christian Rasmussen smacks the wall and breaks the suspension. He comes to a stop, caution.
Lap 16, Power dives inside of McLaughlin into turn one. He locks up under braking and still takes the spot, Power to 2nd.
Lap 17, Power has a run on Palou into turn one. He dives to the inside and Power takes the lead away!
Lap 30, Power leads Palou and McLaughlin. All three are nose to tail.
McLaughlin to 2nd! He’s all over the rear of Power in the battle for the lead. The field is stacking up behind Power.
Lap 35
Lap 35, McLaughlin looks outside of Power into turn one. He hangs with him at the corner exit. McLaughlin takes the lead away.
Lap 39, Graham Rahal is stalled on track after contact from Simpson, caution. This caution falls in the middle of the pit cycle.
Green, Palou cycles to the lead. He leads Kirkwood and McLaughlin.
Lap 65, Palou pits from the lead under green.
Lap 66, VeeKay turns Ferrucci and the caution is out!
The rest of the leaders head for the pits. Palou cycles back to the lead.
Green, Palou leads Rossi and Malukas.
Lap 73
Lap 73, Schumacher misses the braking zone and he’s nose first into the barrier. David Malukas is forced to come to a complete stop to avoid him. The caution is back out.
Green, Palou leads Rossi and Kirkwood.
Penalty: Rossi heads to the pit lane for a pass-thru penalty. Kirkwood is handed 2nd.
Will Power is shoved into the wall by teammate Scott McLaughlin. He heads to the pit lane with damage and he’s done for the day.
21 to go, Santinio Ferrucci has stalled, caution.
Green, Palou leads Kirkwood and Rahal.
11 to go, Palou leads Kirkwood by 2 seconds.
10 to go, Rossi tags the rear of Romain Grosjean under braking and Grosjean is turned into the outside wall. The caution is out.
Green, Palou leads Kirkwood.
2 to go, Palou leads Kirkwood by 1.9 seconds.
