World of Outlaws results and video highlights from the $200,000 to win race at Knoxville Raceway

Tonight, World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series drivers are set for the Knoxville Nationals finale in Iowa. The half-mile dirt track will pay $200,000 to the winner in the biggest dirt race of the year.

Kyle Larson will start from the pole position even though was originally expected to miss this race. Due to a weather delay in Iowa, Larson jumped on a plane directly following tonight’s NASCAR race in Virginia and he is now on the grounds, just ahead of the main event. Larson’s plane was the most tracked plane in the world during the trip.

The feature is rolling to the track at 1:00am CT. Kyle Larson and Sheldon Haudenschild set the front row. 50 laps of dirt track racing are up next…

Race Report

Green flag, Larson gets the jump and he’s clear into turn one.

Lap 3, Kasey Kahne works under Haudenschild and he takes 2nd away. The track surface is heavy and fast after all the rain.

Lap 7, Larson leads Kahne by 2 seconds. The leader has caught the tail of the field.

Lap 18, Larson leads Kahne as the gap is now 3.5 seconds. Larson is slicing through lap traffic, in any lane.

Lap 26, the halfway break caution is out. Crews will head to the cars for refueling.

Green, Larson leads Kahne into turn one.

Lap 28, Brian Brown slows, caution. He gets a push to the work area.

Green, Larson leads Kahne and Haudenschild.

Lap 29, Haudenschild works the outside. He fights for space with Kahne and Larson drives away.

Lap 36, Kahne has closed the gap to Larson. The leader is closing in on lap traffic.

Lap 37, Larson runs three wide through lap traffic. Kahne now trails by 1 second.

Lap 41, Haudenschild knocks the top and he crosses under Kahne to take 2nd away. Carson Macedo is up in smoke and the caution is out.

Green, Larson leads Haudenschild off turn two.

Lap 44, Logan Schuchart knocks the top and he clears Kahne for 3rd.

5 to go, Larson leads Haudenschild by 1.2 seconds. Kahne slides Schuchart and he reclaims 3rd.
