CARS Tour issues actions detrimental penalty to Landon Huffman

For actions detrimental to automobile racing

Over the weekend, the CARS Tour raced at Anderson Motor Speedway. There were some wild scene in the pit area at the Williamston, South Carolina track.

Landon Huffman and Tyler Reif tangled on the track. Huffman was sent backwards into the corner and he slammed the wall.

Both cars went to the infield. Huffman climbed from his car and walked down to Reif’s car to have a chat.

Huffman then kicked the door of Reif’s machine. Officials and police stepped in to separate the drivers.

Later that night, Reif walked over to Huffman and he appeared to issue an apology and take blame for the incident.

Huffman responded, “Yeah, pay for my racecar then.” Tensions between the two drivers then began to escalate once more before Reif walked away.

CARS Tour: Penalty Report

“The zMAX CARS Tour presented by SoundGear has issued the following penalty which was incurred during the Race Event at Anderson Motor Speedway on August 22, 2026.”

For actions detrimental to automobile racing and the CARS Tour under Section 6.7.1 of the Rule Book:

“Landon Huffman will be fined $500 for leaving the assigned pit area to confront another competitor. The fine must be paid prior to returning to the series. Additionally, Landon Huffman will be place on probation until December 31, 2026.”
