Race Report
Green, they run side by side for the lead into turn one. Barnes Jr bottoms out on low air pressure and sparks fly, he falls to 4th. McCumbee takes over 2nd as Bassett Jr leads.
Dale Earnhardt Jr loses a ton of positions at the start of this race after the field checks up in front of him.
Lap 15, McCumbee looks inside of Bassett Jr in the battle for the lead. He closes the door.
Lap 17, McCumbee has a run and he drives it deep to the bottom in turn three. Bassett Jr lifts early and hands him the lead.
Lap 27, Rodney Dowless Jr spins and he’s stalled against the inside wall. The caution is out.
Green, Bassett Jr rolls the outside lane and he reclaims the race lead!
Lap 38, Jace Hale gets into the left rear of Dale Earnhardt Jr. Haley picks up heavy right front damage and Dale Jr has the left rear fender tucked in but both cars continue.
Lap 52, Lance Gatlin slows with an issue, caution.
Green, Bassett Jr leads as Brown rolls the outside to take 2nd away.
Lap 66, Treyten Lapcevich has lost the left rear tire! He spins and the caution is out.
Green, Bassett gets the jump and he’s clear off turn two. Brown leans on the left rear of Bassett Jr into turn three! Bassett Jr holds him off.
Lap 75, Chase Burrow comes to a stop with an issue after contact with the wall, caution.
Green, Bessett Jr leads with Brown all over his bumper.
Lap 82, Brown dives inside of Bassett Jr in the battle for the lead. They bang doors and Brown drives it deep into turn three. He clears himself off turn four over the nose of Bassett Jr.
Lap 83, Bassett Jr shoves the bumper of Brown into turn one. They both run wide and Caden Kvapil makes it three wide for the lead in turn three! Caden Kvapil is clear for the lead!
Caden Kvapil opens the gap and he wins the CARS Tour Late Model Stock event at Newport Speedway!
